Make A Difference With Local Charities

loveyourneighborAt a recent office meeting we spoke of ways to give back to our community. Debi Kelso from The Giving Plate shared their mission to feed the hungry in Central Oregon. Fellow Fred agent Teri Axmaker talked of her efforts to help Albertsons and Family Access Network provide a full Thanksgiving meal to needy families. The ideas and thoughts which were shared got me to thinking of other local charities and missions which strive to make our community better and provide warmth, food and dignity to those in need.

As the weather starts to turn colder and we enter the Holiday Season, those needs are magnified. Fortunately, many opportunities exist from shelters to toy drives to donating unwanted trees for firewood. Whether it’s donating time, money or unused items, surely there is a way for us all to help our neighbors in need. Below are links to several local charities or missions which all strive to make a difference in our community.
